A. S. Wordley and Co Ltd have cropped up a few times recently, both on this blog and in information arriving at the museum. And here they are again in the shape of a thin aluminium trade plate.
This is the badge that the Wordley firm fastened to equipment they sold which obviously turned such equipment into a mobile advert.
The general consensus amongst people who worked for the firm is that this dates from the 1950s. It certainly serves as a nice reminder of 60 years ago in the village.
