Building George Mews

 

George Mews was built in the yard between 58 to 60 High Street, Market Lavington back in 1994.

The old sheds there were demolished.

Building materials arrived and ground work began.

And twenty years on, George Mews is an established part of the village.

    I remember well when George Davis used to operate his coal retail business from the yard. His driver was Harold Huish. The flatbed lorry was a regular site around the area.

    Yes Jim, Harold Huish was my Grandad and his daughter Diana is my Mum! My Grandad lived at this property and delivered the coal
