A royal syrup tin

Regular readers of Market Lavington Museum’s blog will know that our 2022 display commemorating The Queen’s jubilees was modified to Remembering Queen Elizabeth II following her death. This meant that we added a few artefacts linked to the Queen, but not from jubilee events. Among these, we have a Lyle’s Golden Syrup tin used in Market Lavington at the time of the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The tin features a horse drawn carriage and makes a charming addition to our collection of royal memorabilia, which have been used in the village.

Can you add anything to this or do you want to know more?
