Here we have a copy of a photograph said to date from the early 1940s.

Our records inform us that they are ‘old time dancers’ in Market Lavington. It is unsurprising that, during World War II, there are young girls and ladies, but that there are no young men. Presumably, they were in the military services at the time.
This photos has a full record card, naming almost all the people involved in the dancing group.

We see that Mr Harry Rainbird, the man furthest right in the middle row, was in charge.
