In amongst our extensive collection of photographs at Market Lavington Museum, we have a set of pictures taken at Lavington Festival in 2004. On 17th July, children carrying colourful banners paraded up to the Elisha Field.

Accompanied by a band of drummers, they made their way across the footpath from the top of Northbrook and over the field towards St Barnabas School.

The children were clad in medieval costumes.

A lot of effort had been put into making shields and even horses.

Next time, we will see some of the wide range of activities awaiting their arrival at the Elisha Field on Drove Lane.
